Gezime Djonovic MS, CCC-SLP

Gezime Djonovic, MS, CCC-SLP is certified by the American- Speech –Language-Hearing –Association and licensed to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of New Jersey. She is a member of the New Jersey Speech –Language-Hearing Association. She is listed in the directory at www.asha.org and www.njsha.org. Mrs. Djonovic graduated from Kean University with a BA in Communication and Hearing Disorders and with a MS degree in Speech Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.

Mrs. Djonovic’s speech therapy practice includes working with pediatric and adult speech, swallowing, orofacial myofunctionaL therapy, “thumb or digit sucking” remediation, articulation, voice, accent modification.

Mrs. Djonovic has been trained in the Simon Says “Tongue Tips” and “Thumbs Up” programs. She is trained in the PROMPT technique. In addition, she is certified in the Compton PESL (Pronouncing English as a Second Language) Program and offers it to clients wishing to enhance their communication skills through accent reduction and modification. The Compton PESL is custom tailored to help foreign language speakers neutralize their accented speech of American English. At completion, speakers typically see 50% reduction of their accent.

Emily Lane MA, CCC-SLP

Emily is a Speech-Language Pathologist who received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of New Jersey in 2016 with a self-designed major in Communication Sciences & Disorders and minors in Deaf Studies and Sociology. Emily recently completed her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Montclair State University in 2019. Emily has experience in the private practice setting applying evidence-based approaches with children of all ages in a variety of areas including: Early Intervention, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). She was also involved in research at Montclair State University’s Biofeedback Laboratory where she utilized visual-acoustic biofeedback to treat children who have difficulty producing the “R” sound. She is also trained in the PROMPT technique and specializes in myo-functional speech disorders and swallowing. Additionally, Emily has experience working with adults in a subacute rehabilitation setting treating dysphagia, cognitive aspects of communication, and aphasia.

 

Emily believes in the importance of collaborating with family members and caregivers throughout the treatment process to ensure maximum potential of success for all clients.

Paige Garlasco , MS, CCC-SLP

Paige Garlasco is a Speech -Language Pathologist who received her Bachelor of Arts and her Masters of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology at William Paterson University. She has acquired experience in a variety of areas, in both school and private practice settings, with individuals of various ages.

In a school setting, Paige has treated school-age children with expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, communication disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The private practice setting allowed her to provide treatment in previously mentioned areas as well as in Early Intervention, myofunctional disorders, and cognitive disorders. Paige also acquired many years of experience of working with children with Autism in a classroom setting.

Paige believes in the importance of working with caregivers to implement effective and individualized treatment plans. She is passionate about creating an environment where individuals can freely express themselves as they improve their speech, language and communication skills in ways that best support their needs. Paige looks forward to motivating her clients to make positive changes in their speech and language abilities.

 Isabella Beninate MA, CF-SLP

Isabella Beninate is a speech-language pathologist who received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology (2023) and Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences & Psychology (2021) from Case Western Reserve University. Isabella has clinical experience with both pediatric and adult populations across various settings including private practice, outpatient clinics, schools, a skilled nursing facility, and in the hospital. She has provided individual and group speech therapy for pediatric clients in the following areas: early intervention, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She has provided individual and group speech therapy for adult clients in the following areas: aphasia, motor speech disorders (dysarthria and apraxia), swallowing disorders, fluency disorders, cognitive communication disorders, and accent modification therapy. Isabella believes in providing evidence-based therapy that is individualized and functional for each client in order to achieve their full potential!

Noemi Villacis, MA, CCC-SLP

 

Noemi Villacis is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated from Kean University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences with a double minor in American Sign Language and Psychology, and recently completed her Master of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Noemi has gained clinical experience working with both pediatric and adult populations across various settings including university-based clinics, public school, and private practice settings. She has worked with diverse populations and treated children with a wide range of communication difficulties, including: Early Intervention needs, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, feeding difficulties, receptive and expressive language disorders, and language deficits coexisting with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition, Noemi treated adults with aphasia, motor speech sound disorders, and accent modification.

She is a big proponent of using a play-based therapeutic approach with her pediatric clients in order to enhance and facilitate speech and language development in a fun and engaging environment. Noemi believes in forming a genuine relationship with each of her clients and their families. She is thrilled to be part of the Advanced Speech Therapy team!

Jennifer Piller, MA, CF-SLP

 

Jennifer is a Speech-Language Pathologist who received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University, where she was enrolled in an autism specialization “NeuroAllies”. Jennifer has gained clinical experience working with both pediatric and adult populations across various settings including private practice and public school settings. 

In the private practice, Jennifer gained experience with children of all ages in a variety of areas, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, Early Intervention, cognitive aspects of communication and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). The public school allowed her to provide treatment with school-aged children in the areas previously mentioned and to collaborate with occupational therapists and classroom teachers in order to maximize student learning and patient progress.

Jennifer believes in the importance of individualized therapy sessions and collaborating and educating patients and their family members to promote carryover of skills and reaching maximum potential.

Meridith Farley, MS, CCC-SLP

 

Meridith Farley earned her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Seton Hall University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

She has experience with both pediatric and adult patients who present with a wide range of disorders. She specializes in Expressive and Receptive Language, Articulation and Early Childhood Language.

Meridith strives to help all of her patients develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to improve their communication abilities and believes that collaboration is key to success.

She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, is licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in New Jersey and holds the Speech Language Specialist Certification from the New Jersey Department of education.
